Biography

Director, screenwriter and author, Christophe Honoré directed his first feature film, Dix-sept fois Cécile Cassar in 2002. He has competed for the Golden Shell twice, with La belle personne (2008) and Non ma fille, tu n’iras pas danser (2009). Worthy of mention in his filmography are titles such as Les chansons d’amour (2007), premiered in competition at Cannes and included in San Sebastian's "Backwash" retrospective in 2009, Les bien-aimés (2011), Plaire, aimer et courir vite (2018), with which he returned to the competition in Cannes, and Chambre 212 (Room 212, 2019), which earned Chiara Mastroianni the Best Actress Award in Un Certain Regard at the French festival.
