Laura Ferrés graduated in Filmmaking at ESCAC and her graduation project, the short film In the Doghouse (2014), premiered at the Valladolid Festival’s sidebar ‘A Night of Spanish Short Films’. Her following title, The Disinherited, premiered at the Cannes Festival’s Critics’ Week, where it won the award for best short film in competition. This short also had its premiere in Spain at Seminci, was nominated for the European Film Awards and won the Goya for best documentary short film. The PErmanent Picture (2023), her first feature film, had its world premiere in the Official Section of the Locarno Festival.
