Kamel Boutros

Biography

Kamel played "The Super" in Adam ReidĀ“s award-winning short film While the Widow is Away. Other acting credits include the role of "Mohammed Atta" in Hamburg Cell directed by Antonia Bird, "Mamoud" in The Death of Klinghoffer and City, a film created for the Daniel Pearl Foundation. In addition to acting, Boutros is a pianist, composer and a multiple-award-winning Opera Singer. He has performed with the Metropolitan Opera in Carmen, Capriccio, Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Madame Butterfly, La Boheme and Romeo et Juliette, as well as in a gala concert with the late Luciano Pavarotti conducted by James Levine. His awards include first prize in the Opera Index's Com-petition and the Sullivan Foundation Career Award. Presently Kamel is the music director of Calvary Concert Series and Calvary Church in New York City.
