Biography

Geneviève Appleton has worked in the film and television industry since 1983 as an actor, producer, director, editor, writer, and story editor. Her production credits include GeminiAward-winning The Arrow, and the feature film Such a Long Journey directed by Sturla Gunnarsson. Appleton co-wrote the bible and pilot of a dramatic television series, Minds' Eye, for AXYZ Animation and series creator John Coldrick, and she has just completed writing a feature film set in 2052 entitled The Last Dreamplay. For her own company, White Wave Productions, Appleton has written, produced, directed and edited numerous films and videos, including the documentary A Garden's Family for Vision TV, and a half-hour drama, Vision, adapted from a short story by Ursula K. LeGuin, which won a TV Ontario Telefest Award. Her documentary entitled Actor's Transformation, on the work of acting teacher Deena Levy and her students, recently premiered at the Female Eye Film Festival and was broadcast on Bravo!. Appleton was co-producing the feature Come Back Paddy Riley by writer-director Amnon Buchbinder (The Fishing Trip), with Camelia Frieberg and Kelly Bray.
