Biography

Nils-Erik Ekblom is a Finnish writer and director born in 1987. When he is not working on a film or running Ten Thousand Hearts with his long time collaborator Tom Norrgrann, he is working in marketing. In his films he has explored a wide range of subjects. Nightmare is a highly personal documentary about how sleep paralysis has shaped his entire persona. This he co-directed with Marko S. Eronen. The The Ruined Eye explores the inexplicable violence directed towards a loved one, while Love Between Storeys is a combination of memorable encounters he’s had with various people he’s only met once, but will never forget. Screwed is his debut feature film as a writer, director and director of photography.
