Biography

Award winning director Micki Dickoff has been an independent filmmaker for more than four decades. Her production company, Pro Bono Productions, produces dramas and documentaries examining social justice themes. Her films take on such issues as AIDS, human rights, racism, poverty and the justice system and have been broadcast on PBS, ABC, Lifetime, Bravo, Court TV, BBC and Channel 4 in London. Micki’s critically acclaimed documentaries include Neshoba: The Price of Freedom, Bush’s Deadly Ambition, Too Little Too Late, and her latest film, The Gathering. Micki has been working on her new documentary, The Legacy, for 24 years. The film tells the story of three generations of an African American family struggling to break the cycle of poverty, injustice and prison.
