Pi Ware

Biography

Pi Ware is originally from Tempe, Arizona. He received degrees in both English and Spanish from the University of Virginia. After college, he moved to Madrid to work as a camera assistant on several Spanish films, including Pedro Almódovar's The Flower of My Secret. He returned to the U.S. to study graduate filmmaking at Loyola Marymount University before joining the Los Angeles-based film collective, Filmmakers Alliance. Pi also assisted producer Matthew Greenfield on the independent feature film, Star Maps, and worked on the production of L.A. Confidential. He is a published fiction writer and the editor of the Filmmakers Alliance Magazine.
Pi has written and directed three award-winning short films, including "My Beautiful Me", a dark comedy that found distribution with Warner Brothers on the DVD, SHORT Cinema Journal 9. Solitude is his debut feature-length film. It has played many festivals, including Gen Art, Palm Springs International, AFI FEST and Cinequest, where the film won the Director's Award.
