Biography

Anais Granofsky is a veteran performer having starred in the CBC series, Degrassi Jr. High and Degrassi High as Lucy. She has appeared on numerous programs over the past fifteen years, including: Scales of Justice (David Cronenberg), La Femme Nikita and Soul Food (Showtime).

In 1996 Anais graduated from New York University and received the top prize at the Tisch School of the Arts. There, her short film Dead Letters Don't Die (starring Amanda Plummer), won the school's prestigious Mobile award and was screened at the NYU Los Angeles premiere.

Upon returning home to Toronto, Anais began working on the feature screenplay for Have Mercy, a story featuring a group of women in a mental institute who decide to put on a racous talent show. Have Mercy was filmed in just twelve days in February 1999 and aired on The Movie Network. Followed by City TV/Bravo!.
