Biography (1)
Katja von Garnier (1966) is a German director. She studied art history, German studies and theater and film theory. Her feature debut Making Up (1993) has won many awards as well as audience favor, as did her next film, the musical Bandits (1997). Her next work took her to the USA where she shot the star-studded films Iron Jawed Angels (2004) and Blood and Chocolate (2007), which have ensured her with a successful career.
