Biography

André Mélançon (1942) is a Canadian screenwriter, director and actor. He graduated in psychoeducation. From his extensive and award-winning live-acted and documentary films made primarily for children and youth, we'll mention The Six-fingered Hand (Comme les six doights de la main, 1978), The Dog Who Stopped the War (La guerre des tuques, 1984), Bach and Broccoli (Bach et Bottine, 1986), Albertine in Five Times (Albertine, encinq temps, 2000) and Fragile Spring (Printemps fragiles, 2005).
