Laura studied a master's degree in documentary at the Universidad Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. Previously she graduated in sound and image engineering, and started to work in filmmaking in San Francisco. She arrived to México in 2010 to study cinema and has worked as director and cinematographer on different film projects. Laura is part of the Emergenciamx collective and co-founder of La Sandía Digital. She has made more than twenty short documentaries in Latin America and Europe. Her feature debut El Remolino, premiered at the Locarno Film Festival and received awards from a dozen film festivals including Documentamadrid, Planetfocus and Saratov IFF. Her documentary ¿Me vas a gritar? screened in official selection at Clermont Ferrand, Malaga, Morelia and Palm Springs, among others.
