Félix Viscarret debuted in feature-film directing with the comedy-drama Bajo las estrellas (Under the Stars), which drew unanimous critical and audience acclaim and enjoyed a cinema run of more than four months. The film received two Goya awards from a total of seven nominations and won the Málaga Festival.
