Francesc Escribano (Vilanova i la Geltrú, Barcelona, 1958) graduated in Information Sciences at the Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona (UAB), where he currently teaches. He has worked in press and radio, and for 25 years has been chiefly dedicated to television. He has created and directed numerous programmes for TV3-Televisió de Catalunya. From 2004 until 2008 he was the director of Televisió de Catalunya. He is a board member of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (Emmy). He currently manages the production company Minoría absoluta. In 2016 he directed the documentary fictions, Suñol, un crit valent and Buscando a Cervantes, both with an innovative audiovisual format.
