Biography
He was born in Addis Abeba, and started his career by writing scripts and dialogues for films like The Night Porter (Liliana Cavani) and The Master and Margaret (Aleksandar Petrovic). Since 1988, he has produced and / or distributed about 50 films through his company Bim, winning dozens of awards at festivals all over the world. He has been a member of prestigious cultural and cinematographic committees and juries, and is a founding member of the European Film Academy. He has been personally awarded many prestigious awards, including the David di Donatello for Best Producer, for Marco Bechis' Garage Olimpo in 2000.
