Biography (1)
Actor, director, makeup SFX wiz and stuntman, Vincent Thomas "Tom" Savini was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After studying at Carnegie-Mellon University, Savini was sent to Vietnam as a combat cameraman. There he saw death from up close and, according to his own statement, the terrible experience branded his film work.
