Stefan Faldbakken graduated from Dramatiska Institutet - College of Film and Television in Stockholm in 1999, where he completed the three-year producer program. His graduation film MAJOR AND MINOR MIRACLES (1999) was nominated for an Academy Award in the best live action short film category. Faldbakkens first short film The Cosmonaut (2001) premiered at the 58th Venice International Film Festival and his second short Anolit (2002) participated in over 25 film festivals, winning several international awards and has also been sold to a number of television broadcasters in Europe. Faldbakkens feature film debut URO (2006) was selected for Un Certain Regard, the sidebar at the 2006 Cannes International Film Festival.
