Biography
Kim Hee-jung (b. 1970, Seoul, South Korea) studied acting and directing at various art schools in Seoul, and later graduated from Poland's National Film School in Łódź (1996-2001). She started out making short films, some of which were well-received at international festivals, including Warsaw, Edinburgh, Chicago and Busan. Her feature-length debut The Wonder Years (Yeol-se-sal soo-ah, 2007) was shot with support from the Cannes film festival, and her second film Grape Candy (Chung podo satang, 2012) was shown at the Warsaw IFF. Her latest work, Snow Paths (2015), was premiered at South Korea's Jeonju festival.
