Biography

Alex is a Romanian stage and film actor, based in Bucharest. He graduated The National Theatre and Film Academy (UNATC I.L. Caragiale) in Bucharest in 2007, obtaining a bachelor's degree in acting. He is an immersive and versatile method actor having comedy, as well as dramatic skills, proven in over 30 feature films since 2004.

He co-starred alongside Collin Farrell and Ed Harris in Peter Weir's The Way Back, and also alongside Rachel Weisz in The Whistleblower. In 2007 Cristian Mungiu's 4 months, 3 weeks and 2 days, where Alex had the supporting part, won the prestigious Palm d'Or award at the Cannes International Film Festival. In 2016, he played the lead part in Catalin Mitulescu's film, By the Rails, which got nominated for the Crystal Globe and won the Special Mention at Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.

He is a prolific stage actor in Bucharest and he has subsequently worked in Theatre, Television, Film, Radio, Voice Overs, Commercials, Role Play and International Tours and Festivals.
