Maura Morales Bergmann

Maura was born in Rome to a Chilean father and an Italian mother. She spends her life between the two countries. She speaks four languages and works all around the world. She studied cinematography at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome with Giuseppe Rotunno (2000-2003). She has worked as an assistant and camerawoman with many internationally renowned directors such as: Roberto Benigni, Vittorio Storaro, Mario Monicelli, Spike Lee and with cinematographers of the likes of Vittorio Storaro, Nicola Pecorini, Thomas Newton Siegel, Maurizio Calvesi and Fabio Cianchetti. Since 2007 she has been solely working as a cinematographer; she has shot 14 short films, 12 documentaries and 8 fiction films that have participated in the best festivals around the world such as: Venice, Cannes, and Rome.
