Biography

In Spain, he has directed the short films: La Princesa De Trujillo (2008), La Increíble Historia Del Niño Terrible y La Niña Pájaro (2009), El Gran Viaje (2010), La Cosa Que Más Duele En El Mundo (2010), El Niño y El Viento (2012), among others. He has collaborated as an animation producer and director on the short films Jacinta (Karla Castañeda, 2008) and La Noria (Karla Castañeda, 2012). In 2001 he was an animator and character co-designer for the short film Hasta Los Huesos (René Castillo, 2001). He has been director and screenwriter of music videos for legendary bands like Körn, In Flames and Cuca. In 2019 he was recognized with the Ariel award for the short film Viva El Rey. He has been a fellow of FONCA and the Rockefeller Foundation. He has also been a member of the Council of CECA, Jalisco. He is part of the group of directors of the International Animation Center (el Taller del Chucho) and worked as animation supervisor for Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio.
