Biography

Sabrina Muhate is a graduate of the Centro Universitario de Estudios Cinematográfica (CUEC) belonging to the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). She has worked on set in the feature films En el Ombligo del Cielo (Carlos Hugo Oliver, 2011) and Familia Gang (Armando Casas, 2013), as assistant director and editor of the documentary Las letras del exilio, by TV UNAM (Rodrigo Castaño, 2014). She has directed the Making Of for FICUNAM and DOCS MX, both in 2014. She was the first assistant director in the CUEC documentary debut Rita (Arturo Santana, 2015-2016) supported by IMCINE. Her short film Ulterior was nominated in the category of Best Documentary Short Film at the 57th Ariel Awards. Guiexhuba is her fictional debut feature.
