Asif Kapadia (b. 1972, London) studied filmmaking at the Royal College of Art. His first success came with the short film The Sheep Thief (1997), which won 2nd Prize Cinéfondation at the Cannes IFF. He has shot three features: The Warrior (2001 – Horizons at KVIFF 2002), The Return (2006), and Far North (2007). But his biggest draw thus far has been the documentary Senna (2010).
