Biography (2)
François Girard (1963) is a screenwriter and director from Canada. He made his debut with the feature drama Cargo (1990). He's won recognition primarily for his biographical film Thirty-two Short Films about Glenn Gould (1993) and remained in the genre of music with his next films The Red Violin (Le violon rouge, 1998) and Boychoir (2014). He also directed the historical romance Silk (2007). He works in theater and contemporary circus as well.
