Biography
He was born in Kapuivik, Canada's Igloolik region. His work includes The Journals of Knud Rasmussen (2006), The National Parks Project (2011), Inuit Cree Reconciliation (2013), and his first feature, Atanarjuat: The Fast Runner (2001), which won the Caméra d'Or at Cannes and the award for Best Canadian Feature at the TIFF. His lastest work, Maliglutit (2016), premiered at TIFF.
