Biography

Khyentse Norbu's foray into films starts as Bernardo Bertolucci's assistant on Little Buddha (1993). He goes on to write and direct three award-winning films: The Cup (1999), that premières at the Director's Fortnight in Cannes, Travelers & Magicians (2003), the first feature ever shot in the Kingdom of Bhutan and screened at the Venice Film Festival, and Vara: A Blessing (2013), which is chosen to open the Busan International Film Festival in the same year.
