Biography

Libor Pixa graduated at The Film and Television School at The Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (FAMU). The short film Graffitiger was his graduation work. Before Graffitiger he made couple of short animated films headed by the film PsiCHO, which received the award for the best czech short animated film at the festival Anifest in 2006. In his work Libor focuses on the combination of animation techniques and live action. At the same time he specializes in the 3D computer animation, which he lectures at FAMU since 2009. He used this technique for the realization of the short film Vincent, which is the part of the feature film Autopohadky ("The Car Tales"). He shot a 3D animated serie Nejmensi slon na svete ("The Smallest Ellephant in the World").
