Biography

Giuseppe Capotondi started directing music videos and TV commercials at the age of 23 and since then has directed more than 250, which has earned him numerous international awards, including the D&AD and the Cannes Lions. In 2008 his first feature film, La doppia ora (The Double Hour), competed at the Venice Festival, where its protagonist, Kseniya Rappoport, received the Volpi Cup for best actress. He also directed two documentaries and several episodes of television programmes such as Berlin Station (Epix), Suburra (Netflix) and Endeavour (ITV). The Burnt Orange Heresy, his second feature, closed the Venice Festival out of competition.
