Shane is best known for his role as medic Eugene "Doc" Roe in "Band of Brothers", the HBO mini-series produced by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg, which won six Emmy awards, a Golden Globe, an AFI award, a Peabody award and a WGA award.
