Biography (1)
Born in 1969 in Diyarbakır, he is one of Turkey's most well-known singer-songwriters, while also having developed a career in acting, directing, and composing for cinema. His earlier films as director include Beyaz Melek (The White Angel, 2007), Güneşi Gördüm (I Saw the Sun, 2009) and New York'ta Beş Minare (Five Minarets in New York, 2010).
