Biography

Mexican theater, film, and television actress. Thanks to her acting skills, she has been awarded with the Ariel, Canacine, and Mayahuel Award of the Guadalajara International Film Festival. Her most outstanding films are Abel, Demasiado amor, Tercera llamada and Los adioses, where she plays Rosario Castellanos and for which she won his first Ariel Award. She is also widely recognized for her participation in various plays, with Ludwik Margules as her most significant teacher. Some of his most outstanding works are Incendies of Wajdi Mouawad, The Human Voice of Jean Cocteau, among others. In television, she has starred in the series Fonda Susilla, Estado de gracia, Falco and Extraño enemigo. Since 2012 she has been giving the acting workshop for professional actors called Emocionante. Interested in exploring the place of women’s participation in the film, in 2015, she created a series of talks with actresses called Ser mujer en el cine mexicano, where she has interviewed more than 20 actresses. In 2016 she became an active member of the Mexican Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences. With the firm intention of dignifying with discipline and passion the acting work, in 2021, she took over the direction of CasAzul-Artes Escénicas Argos.

Actress
