Biography
JAMES RANSONE is an actor and former musician from Baltimore. He is best known for his roles as Ziggy Sobotka in the second season of HBO's "The Wire" and Corporal Josh Ray Person in HBO's Iraq War miniseries "Generation Kill."
Ransone was seen in Allen Hughes' crime drama Broken City, opposite Mark Wahlberg, Russell Crowe and Catherine Zeta-Jones, as well as Dito Montiel's Empire State, alongside Liam Hemsworth, Dwayne Johnson and Emma Roberts.
Other film credits include Starlet, Red Hook Summer, Inside Man, The Next Three Days, The Son of No One and Prom Night, among others.
In 2010 Ransone appeared in a recurring role on two HBO series, "Treme" and "How to Make It in America."
