Biography

Florian Ballhaus followed in his father's footsteps as a cinematographer, starting his career in his native Germany with TV series including 'Alles Ausser Mord' before moving to the US to begin working on feature films.

During his career, Florian has worked with directors such as Martin Scorsese on GANGS OF NEW YORK, Michael Hoffman on Gambit as well as forming a regular partnership with director Robert Schwentke, who he has worked with on four feature films including THE TIME TRAVELER'S WIFE and FLIGHTPLAN.

ONE CHANCE also marked Florian's fourth collaboration with director David Frankel, having worked together on THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA, MARLEY & ME, HOPE SPRINGS as well as episodes of 'Sex and the City'.
