Biography

He emigrated to New Zealand with his family. He studied cinematography at the Fine Arts School at Elam Auckland and Binger Filmlab, Amsterdam. Florian is the creator of some of the most innovatine and original made in New Zealand. His debut film, Woodenhead (2003), a tale inspired by the Grimm brothers, was a succes, later cult film, in New Zealand and was distributed throughout the United Sates by Olive Films. In 2012, when his movie Love Story was shown at the London Film Festival, Jarvis Crocker and PULP, invited him to make a feature film/documentary/concert about the band. Florian is the son on the acclaimed sixties photographer Frank Habicht.
