Biography

MICHAEL VIRUET is a Chicago native who made his way to the West Coast in 2008. Since moving to the Los Angeles area, Viruet has completed his undergraduate degree in theater from California State University, Northridge, paying his bills by appearing in numerous commercials.

Viruet found his knack for performing at a very young age, pleading with his mother to allow him to audition for a community theater production of Nora’s Ark. While attending high school in Prospect Heights, a suburb of Chicago, Viruet landed the leading role of Douglas Spaulding in the Steppenwolf Theatre Company’s production of Ray Bradbury’s Dandelion Wine. He went on to appear in many theatrical productions, including A Midsummer Night’s Dream as Lysander; and West Side Story; as Diesel. Most notably, he won accolades for his performance starring in the title role in Pippin.
