Manyar I. Parwani

Manyar I. Parwani, born in 1976 in Afghanistan, director and screenwriter of music videos, documentaries, and short films. He debuted with the short film FRIHED FRA FORTIDEN (1998) which was followed by POETEN (1998). In 2003 he directed the documentary AVATION. Most of his films evolve around people who end up in extreme situations. Recently he has written and directed the two short films IN MY WORLD (2006) about a boy who wants to donate his own heart to his sick mother, and IBRAHIM (2007) about a rejected asylum seeker who seeks refuge with the two only people he knows in the country. WHEN HEAVEN FALLS is Parwani's first feature film.
