Linda Krogsøe Holmberg

Biography

COUNT TO 100 is Linda Krogsøe Holmberg's debut as a feature film director, but she already has an impressive CV with a long string of shorts and awards. Linda Krogsøe Holmberg's first short DEN JYSKE FORBINDELSE (1999) won the Audience Prize at the MedFilm Festival in Rome 2000, and the success continued with the children's film TRO, HÅB OG BATMAN (2000), which won awards at among others the Chicago Children's Film Festival (2001), and at Oberhausen Kurtzfilmtage (2001), and KYS, KYS (2000), which won Best Film at Sheffield Children's Film Festival.

Furthermore, she has directed the shorts EJE VEJE VÆK (2001) and SMÅ OG STORE STEN (2002) and the documentary DR-TV BOLDBØRN (2000). Linda Krogsøe Holmberg often writes or co-writes her films, which was the case with both KYS, KYS, SMÅ OG STORE STEN (2002) and now also COUNT TO 100. Linda has a degree in dramaturgy from the University of Århus (1993) with a minor in film theory and film history, but it was her experience as a founding member of the alternative film school Super16 (1999-2002) that finally kick-started her career as a film director.
