Biography

Jeremy Workman's narrative and documentary films have screened at over 60 film festivals in more than 10 countries. Jeremy is widely known in the industry for his editing work, particularly for movie trailers and Academy Award montages. He is the Creative Director of Wheelhouse Creative - a boutique movie trailer company in New York that is one of the leading trailer vendors for independent films. He has edited over 100 theatrical trailers for such indie distributors as Sony Classics, IFC Films, Magnolia Pictures, Oscilloscope Laboratories and Music Box Films. Jeremy has edited the trailers to six films that have gone on to win the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, including A Separation, Amour, and The Great Beauty. Prior to launching Wheelhouse, Jeremy edited trailers for such major studio films as Life Is Beautiful and Shakespeare In Love. He is a two-time Emmy nominee for his editing, including for his montage work on the Academy Awards telecast and for POV. Jeremy co-directed and edited WHO IS HENRY JAGLOM?, a theatrical feature-length documentary on filmmaker Henry Jaglom. The film won Best Documentary Award at Slamdance and subsequently premiered on PBS's documentary series POV. The film received critical praise from the Los Angeles Times, New York Times, Entertainment Weekly, among many others. A special edition DVD was released by First Run Features. The film is also available on Netflix, iTunes, and Amazon Instant.Jeremy's 2007 documentary ONE TRACK MIND, about subway historian extraordinaire Phil Copp, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and subsequently screened at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. It was acquired by WNET, PBS New York and is also available on Amazon Instant. Additionally, Jeremy is currently producing two ESPN 30for30 documentaries -- both of which will premiere in 2014 on Grantland.com and ESPN. The first of these -- KID DANNY -- explores the 2001 controversy of "too old" Little Leaguer Danny Almonte.. The second -- THE GREAT TRADE ROBBERY -- will premiere on ESPN in October 2014. Additionally, Jeremyʼs 30 minute documentary on Governor Chris Christie -- KEYNOTE (co-directed with Robert Lyons) had its film festival premiere in 2015.
