Ignas Jonynas studied Theatre and Television Directing at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. He has written and directed two fiction shorts: Sunday as It Is and The Dancing Worm. His feature film debut, Losejas (The Gambler, 2013), was released in New Directors at the San Sebastian Festival. The film won, among other accolades, the Special Jury Prize at the Warsaw Film Festival and six Silver Crane awards in Lithuania. Nematoma, his second feature film, won an award in the last edition of Glocal in Progress at San Sebastian.
