A fisherman meets a stranger and follows her to the city. He's enchanted, she's flirtatious. He's a pure soul of sorts, she's looking for nothing more than distraction. Actaeon (in Spanish: Acteón) is a character from Greek mythology. One day, it is told, he saw the goddess Diana in the nude, by chance. Enraged, she turned him into a stag, to be torn apart by a pack of dogs. In whichever version of the tale, Actaeon is the archetypal sacrificial victim - but what God needs to be appeased in the late 60s? (International Film Festival Rotterdam)
