Mára Goes to Heaven

Marek “Mára” Holeček is one of the most outstanding Czech and world climbers of the present day. He climbs the highest mountains that skim the skies, without oxygen in the challenging alpine style. The film follows his five attempts at the first ascent on Gašerbrum I not only through Mára’s eyes but also from the perspective of the people around him waiting for him to return.
