An ordinary movie that wants to appear as sci-fi, but it lacks a lot of true sci-fi elements. It's Verne-esque, but somehow Verne-esque cheap. Verne was quite pompous and generous in his books, but that's not the case here. It's more conversational, it has a bit of Bond in it, but very little. Definitely not something that will get you hooked to the genre. On the contrary.
