The golden 1970s in American television. The fads of the 1960s had died down somewhat, the new generation had grown up and it was finally time for something new. There was indeed room for a whole storyline of female protagonists. There was Charlie's Angels, The Secrets of Isis, Bionic Showdown: The Six Million Dollar Man and the Bionic Woman, a solo Wonder Woman film, and even the new The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries. The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries series from the 1970s ranked shoulder to shoulder with the crime shows of the day, bringing a trio of fresh new faces to audiences. They all had wonderful hair and a flair for solving all sorts of cases. What more could a teenager of that time want?
