I don't particularly seek out Jane Austen even in the traditional sense, but this is quite a nice change. The main benefit of the film is of course the goddess Aishwarya Rai making her debut in an English language production. :) I also liked Ashanti in the episode, and overall I was comfortable comparing this wedding to My Big Fat Greek Wedding and the classic BBC series Pride and Prejudice. There's no shortage of Anupam Kher or Naveen Andrews in this colorful entertainment, meaning that it’s got everything it needs.
