Das Gässchen zum Paradies

Martin Frič was given a major artistic opportunity with this bilingual version of Paradise Road. He was able to direct Hugo Haas and Hans Moser in the same scenes, which is fantastic. It is not surprising that Das Paradise Road is a film on the European level. The mirror-cast actors such as Mady Rahl or Zoe Walewska, who play the same roles as Hana Vítová and Zita Kabátová in the Czech version, also fit together in an amazing way. In the episodes, even in this version, the likes of Stanislav Neumann and Theodor Pištěk appear again. (22/02/2009)
