In the 1960s, Billy Covington is recruited as a new pilot of a new government airline, "Air America". Flying alongside fellow ace pilot Gene Ryack, Billy soon realizes that Air America is in fact a covert CIA operation using civilian pilots to set up a second front in Laos and Cambodia, and that it is money, ammunitions and drugs that he is transporting.
