Valldaura: A Quarantine Cabin

In the Valldaura residence, a laboratory led by the Barcelona institute IAAC, a group of young architects from around the world take part in a short-term educational programme. Struck by the current pandemic, these students are cut-off from civilization and amidst the woods experience a complete immersion into the creative process with all the benefits and downfalls of this partly involuntary isolation. A regular school trip with the aim of building a collaborative project of a mobile cabin has become – with a little hyperbole – an architectural Big Brother. (Film a Architektura)
