I didn't really find out how mackerels taste from the picture, but what's much more important is that this is an immensely beautiful shot. I mean visually. The visual aspect is simply divine. These colors are so beautifully captivating and it's evident that director Ozu understood that. It's a beautiful story, but the packaging in which it is presented captivated me more.
