In 1963 in Tihany, somebody addresses the writer Gábor Náday. He is reminded of a night drive in 1944 that saved his life. Painful memories start coming to Náday. It was here that he met Ágnes, a Jewish girl in hiding, and fell in passionate love with her. He tried to convince his daughter to give her papers to Ágnes in order to rescue her from deportation. Pötyi, however, flatly refused to do so. The desperate writer stole the papers from her, and hid together with Ágnes in a farm house. Yet Ágnes could not escape her destiny, she was arrested because of the illegal activity of the writer's daughter. Pötyi was killed later by an astray bullet. (official distributor synopsis)
