Nebožtíci na bále

When the script is bland, even the best cast can't save it. Of course, if Jiří Sovák, Petr Nárožný and Luděk Sobota meet in the same hospital room, it will be at least a little funny, but it won't change the fact that Nebožtíci na bále failed twice. Fuks's suspect subject matter is neither chopped up nor embellished by the script, so no one in the cast actually had anything to act with, a good half of the plot seems unrelated to the main plot, and everything is wrapped up with a more serious point (guess what happens in July 1914) that feels almost out of place. Also, I'm allergic to "funny" sped-up shots, and there are several of them here. (22/11/2014)
