Mazes and Monsters

Adapted from the bestselling novel by Rona Jaffe, which was loosely based on a tragic true story, the made-for-television Mazes & Monsters was an early role for Tom Hanks. Hanks plays Robbie, whose interest in a roleplaying game called ‘Mazes & Monsters’ (clearly an analogue for Dungeons & Dragons) takes a dark turn when the line between fantasy and reality starts to blur.
